Epic Struggles, Everyday Actions: Wanting Do-Overs in Life
Do-Overs in Life: Living with Myself
To see this “promotional square” humbles me. I have no organization, no mailing list, no sponsors, no group, no affiliation, no social media arm to promote this Summit. I most certainly feel out of my league. I am a small-scale, one-woman endeavor motivated by a vision and commitment to sharing information that helped me find a better way of living.
Like so many things in life, I wish I could have a do-over for this interview. It was a sweltering hot, humid day in August, and I was literally in the middle of a decision-making process with others that was stressful (and that resolved positively shortly after the interview).
Somehow, that seems appropriate context for what I remember talking about with Tim that day – the weediness of making lifestyle changes, what it means to make and sustain changes among the realities of life – what it means to fail and succeed.
Lifestyle changes are difficult, ongoing work for me – even when the results feel wonderful and positively impact every area of my life. As my story reaches more people, I am hearing that same message from others. The struggle to center personal health and wellness can be real for some of us, regardless of weight.
I loved talking with Tim Kaufman because he has inspired me in my own journey. He understands my personal struggle, what it means to lose a whole person off myself, to fight against my shadow selves in the ups and downs of life, to battle to act in my own best interests for health and wellness. Tim’s story continues to inspire me.
The idea of do-overs is part of my personal health, wellness, and weight loss journey. While I choose to live in the hope and possibilities of today and tomorrow, I wish I could have found my pathway to success sooner. Living in what I call a “sensuality of wellness” makes my journey worthwhile: the struggles, failures, efforts, and learning.
Grace is an ongoing part of this personal journey. And, I am certain that I will need to give myself grace for the moment that this interview was. And, that is an important part of a self-improvement journey: self-acceptance for the moments that were, are, and will be.
Information helped and continues to help me find my power, and I got information from the following people in this Summit: Dr. Doug Lisle, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Michael Klaper, Dr. Michael Greger, Chef AJ, Tim Kaufman, Anthony Masiello, and of course, Tim and Heather Kaufman. I look forward to learning from all the others on this panel, to learn about their passions, their power, and their stories.
I hope you will consider signing up for this Summit. I transformed my life with information that came from Summits just like this one – always the free versions. :-) Many of the people on this panel share information that helped me succeed, to Transform Shadows.
